Key Responsibilities of the Travel Neuro ICU Registered Nurse:
Provide advanced nursing care to patients with neurological injuries, strokes, and post-neurosurgical conditions
Monitor patients with ICP monitoring, ventilators, and complex hemodynamic support
Administer medications, including vasoactive drips and sedation, per protocol
Collaborate closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and interdisciplinary teams
Assess and document neurological status changes and respond to emergencies promptly
Maintain meticulous documentation within the EMR system
Support patient and family education regarding recovery, treatment, and follow-up care
Requirements of the Travel Neuro ICU Registered Nurse:
Active RN license  (Illinois or compact state)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience  in an acute care hospital
Proficiency in neuro assessment, ventilator management, and critical care monitoring
Strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills
