Nursing Manager - DON

Brookstone Estates of Tuscola is seeking a Nurse Manager – DON.

• Conducts initial assessment of prospective residents, including off‑site visits
• Performs wellness assessments and develops individualized care plans based on the needs and preferences of each resident
• Delivers health promotion services, offers disease prevention counseling, and provides self‑care education to residents
• Approximately 20% of hours will be providing hands‑on nursing responsibility and direct care
• Engage with residents and family members in a compassionate and impactful manner, creating a lasting and positive experience
• Fosters communication by regularly engaging with physicians, pertinent healthcare providers, and family members
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the clinical team in providing exceptional care experiences
• Coordinates the Community’s infection control program while maintaining state regulatory compliance
• Develop and oversee the Community’s medication management program
• Contributes toward quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
• Comply with all rules and regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy of resident information

• Minimum of two (2) years nursing supervisory experience
• Prior senior/supportive living experience strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire team members
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity
