At SSM Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services, and are seeking a Critical Care Advanced Practitioner (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to practice at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Practice at a brand-new, state‑of‑the‑art facility!

• Graduate of a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Program
• NPs must hold Acute Care certification
• NP or PA should have clinicals or rotational experience in critical care
• Ability to obtain PA/NP licensure in Illinois
• Team player and collaborative

• Nocturnist position working 7p-7a on a 7on/7off schedule (Tuesday to Tuesday) providing coverage in 16‑bed CCU
• Primary focus: assisting in providing high‑quality care to critical care patients including patient admissions and consults as well as seeing post‑op surgical patients
• On average, two patient admissions per night
• Procedural experience in performing central and arterial lines as well as intubation desired; willing to train the right candidate
• On‑the‑job training paired with a collaborating physician for support

Compensation is based on relevant experience, medical specialty, labor market, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive pay. SSM Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
