Job DescriptionSupervised by a Registered Nurse or Physician, the LPN guides our patients through a seamless process to ensure their care is of the highest quality and delivered efficiently. The LPN directs patients through appointments, provisions of nursing services during care, and phone triage. The LPN collaborates in care planning discussions with RN, MD, or other providers to determine urgency, triage emergent situations, and schedule acute care appointments to maximize patient care opportunities and unit efficiency.
The LPN maintains the flow of the Provider schedule during patient sessions, minimizing wait times whenever possible. Occasional evening and weekend shifts may be required.
Range: $25.79 - $33.20 per hour
Qualifications- Education:
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State. - Experience:
Minimum six months of LPN experience preferred; outpatient primary care and/or pediatric experience preferred. - Certification:
New York State LPN license, current American Heart Association CPR and AED certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers). - Knowledge:
Age‑specific medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology; familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, policies, and functions; understanding of documentation standards. - Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment; understanding of basic laboratory procedures including preparation and screening.
- Understanding of infection prevention, infectious disease management and control, and safety standards.
