Job Purpose

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Marketing Manager, Innovation for our DHL Americas Innovation Center (AMIC) – a state-of-the-art facility focused on engaging startups and industries on the future of logistics. In this role, you will drive planning and implementation of regional Innovation Marketing for the Americas. You will also position DHL as the Innovation Leader and CSI as the innovation engine in the region.

As the AMIC Marketing Manager you will implement marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments and in support of our overall strategic innovation marketing plan, and build and engage regional Innovation, and the marketing and communications community.

Principal Accountabilities Drive regional Innovation Marketing approach
  • Position DHL as the Innovation Leader in the market and CSI as the innovation engine of the group
  • In collaboration with business owners, shape the marketing direction for regional activities and positioning and identify key success factors
  • Develop regional marketing roadmap based on the agreed strategic direction and develop specific measures in support of agreed goals
Contribute to global Innovation Marketing efforts
  • In addition to regional responsibilities, take on responsibility to drive selected topics globally and on behalf of the entire Innovation Marketing team
  • Translate global direction and priorities and identify opportunities to position these as part of the regional Marketing plan
  • Provide input into global planning and priority setting
Regional stakeholder management
  • Build and maintain strong relations with other Innovation functions and the broader Marketing community
  • Identify and manage relevant internal and external stakeholders at the regional level
Deliver Americas regional Marketing agenda and implementation
  • Align the Marketing with the Business Unit activities and other relevant stakeholders to set up joint initiatives where applicable
  • Build marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments in support of our overall strategic innovation marketing plan
  • Develop strategy for customer events and project manage major events including external and internal audiences (e.g. annual Innovation Day, Trend Days)
  • Develop creative and out of the box customer engagement formats
  • Lead and execute internal and external communication efforts using appropriate marketing & communication tools
  • Drive placement and promotion process for B2B content marketing efforts and choose the right channels to spread out the content;
  • Run integrated marketing campaigns e.g. to launch the DHL Trend Research publications and position DHL as industry thought leader
  • Drive social media activities
  • Develop marketing materials and collateral as needed, from concept to production to distribution
  • Quickly respond to emerging new topics and trends with adequate Marketing / Comms efforts
