FIRST SHIFT, MONDAY - FRIDAY 7am - 3:30pm + Mandatory OT & Saturdays during peak season

YOUR OPPORTUNITY:
The Herff Jones Cap and Gown team, based in Arcola, IL, is looking for a Seasonal Machine Operator to join our team.

HERE'S HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
As a manufacturing team member, you will be responsible for being able to proficiently operate the spreader.

Help off-load and label cut parts to appropriate table for manufacturing
Hand cuts all product lines with proficiency as needed.
Required to operate the Forklift.
Knowlege of basic math.
Inspect material and product styles to make certain they correspond to the cutting ticket.
Spreads cloth on cutting tables using various manual and automated spreading machines.
Responsible for maintaining material and spreading quality standards.
Record material and time usage.
Must be able to perform general operator asset care
Must be able to operate the slicing and rewinding machine efficiently and safely.
Responsible for keeping the manufacturing floor stocked with sliced material.
Stage appropriate sliced materials.
Must be able to maintain the Material Room organization, housekeeping, and cleanliness.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

Reading, writing, and math skills commensurate with job duties
Must be self-motivated.
Proficiency with Oracle, Excel, Word, and email
Physical strength and dexterity to perform essential job functions.
Job may require lifting to, but not exceeding 90 pounds
Ability to recognize colors and different styles of cloth styles
Standing for 8 hours a day or longer during our busy season.
Job may require lifting to, but not exceeding 30 pounds
Must be able to work all mandatory overtime
