Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 6:00am - 2:30pm
MON TUE WED THU FRI 2:00pm - 11:30pm

Working as Full-time Fastenal Cold Heading Machinist, you will be setting-up and operating cold heading or threading equipment. Operating heading or threading machines will be based on previous experience.

• Setting up and operating cold heading or threading equipment
• Inspecting parts and verifying dimensional data
• Maintaining scheduled delivery
• Reading and interpreting blueprints
• Maintaining tools
• Maintaining all aspects of the machines from set-up to operation

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of cold heading and/or threading equipment
• Knowledge of quality tooling associated with cold heading or threading machines
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

• Possess an understanding of ISO quality systems
• Prior experience reading blueprints
• Familiarity with inspection practices and knowledge of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, ring gages and protrusion gages

The base pay range for this position is $41,000 - 58,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
