MIG Gun Division (Bernard / Tregaskiss) of Miller Electric, an ITW Company, is looking for a driven and experienced Operations Manager to lead daily operations at our facility.

Overview

In this onsite role, you’ll play a key part in shaping our operational excellence, driving production efficiency, safety, and quality through lean strategies and data‑informed decisions. You’ll inspire a culture of ownership and growth, building high‑performing teams that thrive on accountability and collaboration while protecting and empowering the workforce through comprehensive safety programs and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Elevate operations through production management: use KPIs to drive smart decisions, improve delivery, quality, and efficiency, and implement lean manufacturing tools such as the ITW Toolbox, 80/20, and PLS.
  • Inspire and grow high‑performing teams: shape a culture of accountability and ownership; hire, mentor, coach, and plan succession.
  • Champion safety, quality, and innovation: lead proactive safety initiatives, exceed quality standards, resolve customer issues, and manage cross‑functional projects.

  • Lead projects with purpose: manage cross‑functional initiatives, using analytical and problem‑solving skills to drive measurable impact.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management).
  • Minimum 10 years of leading a team in a manufacturing environment with 50+ production employees, focusing on safety, quality, and product excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, visual management, value stream mapping, standard work, Kaizen, poke‑yoke, and the ITW Toolbox.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint for reports, presentations, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM (D365) is a plus.
  • Must be available for up to 10% travel within the United States.
Physical Demands

Frequent requirements to sit, stand, talk, hear, reach, grab, and walk. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Exposure to manufacturing environment includes heat, cold, machinery, controlled chemicals, and loud noise from drills, pneumatic tools, forklifts, and other equipment.

Compensation Information

The annual base salary range is $120,000 – $140,000. Salary may vary based on experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions.
