Are You Ready to Grow With Us? Summary

Manage, train and develop and coordinate the work efforts of Line Supervisors and direct labor associates to produce Grayhill products in our McCook facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review production orders or schedules bronch ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
  • Monitor operator and cell performances for productivity improvement and scrap reduction opportunities.
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
  • Evaluate and recommend standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Resolve associate issues or refer issues to Operations Leader for action.
  • Document all procedures and specifications relating to assigned programs and projects.
  • Lead monthly coordination meetings with Line Supervisors.
  • Insure that all company policies and procedures are communicated appropriately.
  • Act as a liaison between Production and other departments, communicating deviations from drawings and specifications to Quality, Engineering and other groups, and update manufacturing instructions.
  • In conjunction with Quality Control and Engineering, analyze returned materials and goods for manufacturing errors and ensure errors are corrected.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage 5-8 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 100-200 associates in the Production Department and Tool Room. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises six non-supervisory associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates(agent? no) ; planning, assigning, and directing work;

appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (_labels) (B.

    A.) from four-year college or university required.
  • Three to five years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
