Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating a variety of manual and automated machinery, including manual mills, multiple drill heads, manual lathes, pipe benders, and hole punch presses. This role requires a strong understanding of machining principles, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality components.

Manual Machinist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up a range of machinery, including manual mills, manual lathes, and multi-spindle drill heads.

  • Utilize and program pipe benders to accurately form metal tubing according to specifications.

  • Operate hole punch presses to create precise holes in metal sheets or components.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine project requirements.

  • Perform quality checks on finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet specified tolerances.

  • Troubleshoot and make adjustments to machine settings to maintain production efficiency and quality.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.

Manual Machinist Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Machinist with a strong background in operating manual mills, lathes, and multiple drill heads.

  • Demonstrated experience with pipe benders and hole punch presses.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical documents.

  • Proficient in using a variety of precision measuring instruments.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
