Operations Team Lead

Overview

The Operations Team Lead for Leica Biosystems is responsible for completing production work orders and ensuring Formulations department equipment and workstations are kept in good condition to produce high quality products. This position reports to the Value Stream Manager and is part of the Formulations team located in Richmond, IL and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Support the Formulations team members to complete scheduled production orders on time by ensuring materials, labels, and work cells are prepared.
• Set up and operate equipment such as gravity fillers, piston fillers, spindle torquers, peristaltic pumps, label applicators, and drum pumps.
• Accurately complete batch record documentation and GMP documentation, as well as review batch records completed by other team members.

• Complete production work orders and maintain equipment and workstations to support high-quality product output.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure availability of materials, labels, and prepared work cells for on-time production.
• Set up and operate specified filling, labeling, and pumping equipment; monitor for proper operation and quality.
• Document batch records and GMP documentation accurately and review records completed by colleagues.

• High school or equivalent; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Willingness to safely handle hazardous materials.
• Able to wear a respirator.

• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs., standing/walking 90% of the day.
