Production Line Operator

Overview

The machine operator is responsible for the day-to-day duties in running equipment to produce quality product, safely and on-time.

• Operators are responsible for continuously monitoring and maintaining product quality based on established standards, including visual and mechanical inspection of product, and working in a safe manner at all times following all safety policies and procedures. Perform setups in accordance with established procedure, operate, and load/unload equipment. Work from written and verbal instructions, procedures and work orders as required.
• Maintain and log all information required supporting traceability and quality, participate in cross-training activities, maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition, and perform other duties as required or directed.

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must pass physical and color vision exam.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Physical requirements:
  
  able to stand up to 12 hours per day; walk 8-10 hours per day for short distances; push/pull up to 66 pounds multiple times per day; bend 10-20 times per day; squat 20 times per day; climb a step ladder (4-6 steps) 4-5 times per day; reach 10 times per day; lift up to 35 pounds occasionally; twist moving reels; grasp, manipulate, push/pull 40-50 times per day;
  
  demonstrate mechanical and computer skills.
• Opportunity to be trained and drive a forklift is possible.
• Must be able to work in a high-performing team environment with limited supervision.
