Salary Range: $18 - $21/hr
Purpose and Summary StatementIn conjunction with the Location Manager, assure the smooth and efficient operations of the facility.
Essential Job Functions- Oversee daily operations.
- Responsible for scheduling and directing workflow of employees.
- Assist the location manager/region manager with all supervisor duties including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist with the weighing, probing, and grading of grain both inbound and outbound.
- Develop a strong understanding of grain accounting software system (when applicable).
- Enter scale tickets, contracts, and other documents into grain accounting software system (when applicable).
- Manage material handling, storage, transport, and equipment for delivery of products.
- Assist with the recording of daily safety checks for operations.
- Loads and unloads containers, pallets, or materials and products, safely on/off trucks, trailers, and/or railcars.
- Responsible for oversight of maintenance of the location equipment, grounds, and facility.
- Schedule maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment as requested.
- Maintain an appropriate inventory of parts necessary for repairs and maintenance.
- Assure proper safety procedures are being followed to stay compliant.
- Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.
- Attends all required meetings and training programs.
- Coordinate with Location Manager, Safety Coordinator, and other management members to assure maximum profitability of the company and maximum safety of all employees.
- Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures. EHS, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures must be adhered to at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 2 or more years of related work experience.
