Supervisor, Naperville Center (FT)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide on‑site supervision, leadership, and facility management for one of the four COD Centers. Exercise the authority for staffing, budgeting, and resources to continuously improve the Center.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the classified staff and student workers at the Naperville Center.
  • Serve as Facility Manager for the Naperville Center.
  • Be on call 24 hours a day to handle problems or concerns regarding the Center.
  • Be responsible for the selection, hiring, training, evaluating, and terminating of classified staff and student workers at the Center.
  • Provide input to the Manager of Academic Outreach and Program Development, Academic Deans, and Dean of CE and Extended Learning for effective scheduling of credit and non‑credit classes to meet student needs.
  • Disseminate information for the Center and satellite sites within the region.
  • Monitor and make website recommendations and updates to the Marketing and Communications liaison.
  • Assist in the marketing, student recruitment, and community outreach for the Naperville Center and collaborate with Marketing & Creative Services and Enrollment Management personnel.
  • Facilitate and encourage teamwork and communication between all staff members and other departments at the College.
  • Maintain and build community relations via local chambers, civic organizations, and related events.
  • Submit all purchase requisitions and facility requests for the Center to the main campus per College policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all records, including but not limited to College policies and procedures, and ensure they are followed for Center operations.
  • Recommend capital purchases for the Center.
  • Make recommendations and manage the Center’s budget.
  • Collaborate with Admissions, Registration, Advising, Counseling Services in order to have these services available at the Center as needed.
  • Liaise with off‑campus site supervisors and instructors.
  • Collaborate with Off‑Campus Learning Commons Coordinating Manager for services at the Center.
  • Monitor reporting for Center including enrollment reports and class schedules.
  • Work with the Manager of Academic Outreach and Program Development to develop and implement an Annual Plan for the Center.
  • Ensure and encourage Center staff participation in college in‑service professional development opportunities.
  • Rent center rooms to external groups according to College policies and procedures.
  • Other related duties assigned by Manager of Academic Outreach and Program Development.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • Associate’s degree and/or combination of education and experience required. Bachelor’s degree in education, management or supervision preferred.
  • Experience
    • Three to five years of coordinator/supervisory experience required.
    • One to three years experience at a Center preferred.
    • Or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Personal computer and related software applications, mainframe, fax, voice mail, e‑mail, printers, and copiers.
  • 40 hours a week and may require additional hours.
  • Needs to be flexible to include some early mornings, evenings, and weekends as the need arises.
  • On call 24/7.
  • Must provide own transportation.
  • This position requires a background check and drug screen.
Hiring Range

Starting pay begins at $60,064 based on experience.
