Job Title: Manager, Accounting Standards & Governance About the Role

A global organization is seeking a Manager of Accounting Standards & Governance to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of accounting policies and procedures across a complex multinational environment. This role ensures compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations, supports technical accounting research, and partners with cross-functional teams to maintain financial integrity and consistency.

This is a high-impact position offering direct exposure to senior leadership and collaboration with legal, finance, and reporting teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting foundation, policy development experience, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

• Maintain and update accounting and financial reporting policies in accordance with US GAAP and SEC guidance
• Collaborate with business units to ensure effective implementation of accounting policies
• Manage quarterly accounting policy certification and policy deviation approvals
• Oversee governance of operational and capital expenditure approvals through delegation of authority processes
• Coordinate quarterly Finance Policy Committee meetings with regional finance leaders and senior executives
• Support technical accounting research and prepare accounting memos
• Assist with external audits and ensure alignment of policies with financial disclosures
• Monitor and interpret new accounting standards and regulatory changes
• Develop and deliver training materials related to accounting policies
• Lead special projects related to accounting and financial reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• CPA certification required
• 5+years of relevant experience
• Public accounting experience preferred (Big 4 ideal)
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and policy development skills
