PositionWhat will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?
Woodard & Curran is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Carlinville, Illinois. The ideal candidate will perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of right of way, streets, water distribution and sewer collection systems.
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 7:00-3:30pm with overtime.
- Perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance as assigned by the project’s preventive maintenance and repair program.
- Perform housekeeping duties in the maintenance department and on maintenance vehicles as assigned by the Foreperson.
- Work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.
- Produce outcomes that meet the goals and objectives set by the project’s manager.
- High school diploma or educational equivalent.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees.
- Valid Illinois State CDL drivers’ license is preferred.
- Willingness to work schedules that may include weekends or holidays, carry a company radio, and respond to emergencies at any time.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as a backhoe, mini-excavator, skid steer, dump truck, and street sweeper is preferred.
- Successful candidates must complete a DOT background check, DOT pre-placement physical, and DOT drug screen before employment.
Salary: $23 per hour

Time away from work:
Observed holidays (up to
8), vacation accrual based on experience, paid sick time, and paid parental leave for child bonding (up to 80 hours).
