Housekeeper - Housekeeping and Laundry Aide

Accolade Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping and Laundry Aide to maintain the facility's cleanliness, safety, and comfort in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. You will work under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure residents and staff have a clean, hygienic environment.

$15–$18 per hour

• Follow cleaning schedules outlined by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Report all accidents and incidents to your supervisor, regardless of severity.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, bathroom fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Wash, sanitize, and maintain laundry.
• Clean floors daily, including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting.
• Dispose of waste/trash properly, following facility procedures, and relining trash receptacles with plastic liners.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Mix chemicals, disinfectants, and cleaning solutions correctly, referencing manufacturer’s instructions as needed.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling infectious materials, hazardous wastes, or chemicals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds and solutions.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel and handle residents appropriately at their current maturity level.
• Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping supervisory experience (preferred).

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet.
• Ability to push, pull, move, and carry weights of at least 25 pounds for a distance of 50 feet.
