Fiber Combination Technician

WK&T Telecommunications Cooperative a leader in broadband communications, voice, video and home security is seeking experienced applicants with strong technical and networking skills.

Knowledge of fiber optics, computer hardware, software, wireless protocols, and information technology is required for the following full-time position:

Primary responsibilities include:
Installation, splicing, location, and maintenance of fiber optic equipment at customer premise. Includes drop wires, station protectors, and network interface devices, and may include initial wiring or rewiring for new subscriber systems.

High School diploma with two years of telecommunications education or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or proficient knowledge in fiber optics, security alarm systems, and/or A+ certification a plus; good customer skills and a good driving record also required.
