Position

Business Intelligence and Digitalization Manager – Wieland Rolled Products North America, LLC (East Alton, IL). May telecommute or work remotely, up to 80% travel across Wieland facilities.

• Lead the development and implementation of advanced data tools, real‑time dashboards, decision models, and KPIs to optimize processes and support strategic business objectives.
• Design, develop, and maintain data tools, dashboards, and analytical models using Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). Build production‑planning decision models and sales & operations forecasting models using Python.
• Establish, monitor, and evaluate business metrics, KPIs, and trends; deliver insights and management‑level presentations proposing strategic improvements.
• Collaborate with IT to integrate data from various sources into a central business data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
• Manage extraction, cleaning, and manipulation of large datasets from SAP, Oracle, and other systems using advanced SQL, ETL, and cloud‑based tools such as Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and deliver regular reports for manufacturing teams using SAP S/4
  
  HANA module data (MM, PP, SD, QM & PM), providing insights and supporting data‑driven decision‑making through statistical analysis.
• Develop and integrate decision models into production systems to automate routine operational tasks.
• Build chatbots for operations and maintenance teams to provide SOP‑based instructions for machine maintenance tasks.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiencies across supply chain, manufacturing operations, and commercial teams, addressing data visibility gaps and improving KPIs such as OTD, machinery up‑time, and cost per unit produced.
• Partner with department heads (Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain & IT) to understand data and analytical requirements; align data tools with strategic goals, acting as a liaison between business and IT.
• Provide comprehensive training and support to end‑users for effective adoption and utilization of data tools.
• Respond to ad‑hoc data requests, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership using tools such as Minitab, Excel, and Power BI.

• Master’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
• Must hold Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certification.
• Minimum 5 years of combined experience in operations, data analytics, business intelligence, and digital transformation, with a focus on building data tools and solutions.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations with a strong understanding of manufacturing, business operations, and supply chain processes.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in SQL development for complex data transformation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience using data‑warehouse & ETL tools such as Databricks, AWS Redshift, Oracle BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Minimum 5 years of experience using Power BI, Tableau, and Quick Sight to create complex dashboards, visualizations, and real‑time data reports.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the metals industry.
• Minimum 1 year of experience developing production‑planning and supply‑chain tools.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Python with a strong background in statistical analysis, predictive and decision modeling.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Minimum 1 year of experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA and SQL queries for modules: MM, PP, SD, QM & PM.
• Minimum 1 year of experience extracting data from Oracle E‑Business Suite & database.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing direct reports for development and deployment of critical data tools and solutions.

$128,000–$140,000 per year.
