Deaconess Health System is seeking an experienced Desktop Support III to provide advanced technical support to end users across the organization. This senior-level role supports hardware, applications, and desktop systems while serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned technologies.
You will play a key role in maintaining hardware standards, improving deployment processes, supporting change management initiatives, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction for clinical and business users.

- Maintain and improve IT hardware deployment standards
- Serve as escalation support and technical SME for assigned systems
- Maintain accurate asset inventory and documentation
- Support Help Desk productivity and customer service excellence
- Adhere to change management and production standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex desktop, laptop, peripheral, and application issues
- Maintain and improve deployment of IT‑leased hardware
- Address maintenance upgrades and required system updates
- Document support efforts in Help Desk tracking software
- Maintain accurate asset tracking and inventory records
- Adhere to departmental Change Management procedures
- Provide routine maintenance and problem resolution for installed applications
- Develop SME capabilities for assigned technologies, including performance monitoring and vendor coordination
- Support ACD telephone queues and respond accurately and courteously to customer inquiries
- Assist in improving Help Desk productivity and customer satisfaction ratings
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with the broader IT team
- Associate’s degree in Computer Information Services, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant desktop support experience
- Baseline certification plus 3+ advanced certifications or coursework per Career Development Plan
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem‑solving skills
- Experience with desktop operating systems and backup software
- Desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting handheld or mobile devices
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and adhere to IT standards
