About The Role
We are seeking a skilled PACS Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our radiology imaging systems and workflows. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Sectra PACS, Power Scribe, and various DICOM viewers, ensuring seamless image acquisition, distribution, storage, and reporting across the organization.

- Manage, configure, and maintain Sectra PACS systems including workflows, user access, and integration settings.
- Monitor PACS performance, system health, storage usage, and overall uptime.
- Troubleshoot PACS‑related issues (Incident Management), system errors, slowdowns, or image routing problems.
- Provide technical support for third‑party radiology and clinical imaging applications integrated with PACS.
- Manage integration, testing, and troubleshooting of third‑party systems (e.g., reporting tools, analytics dashboards, viewer plug‑ins, QA tools, CD‑burning/transfer systems).
- Coordinate with external vendors for issue resolution, updates, and feature enhancements.
- Ensure seamless interoperability between PACS, RIS, HIS, and third‑party tools via HL7/DICOM interfaces.
- Maintain documentation of configuration, workflows, and integration points for all third‑party applications.
- Support and administer Power Scribe (Nuance) reporting workflows, templates, speech recognition, and user profiles.
- Coordinate with radiologists to ensure accurate and efficient report generation and delivery.
- Manage DICOM modalities including CR/DR, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and MH/US equipment.
- Configure and troubleshoot DICOM routing, association issues, worklist failures, and HL7 integration.
- Maintain and support various DICOM viewing applications for clinicians and radiologists.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for imaging workflow issues escalated from clinical or IT teams.
- Collaborate with vendors for upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in system upgrades, backup management, disaster recovery, and data migrations.
- 24/7 On‑call support (if needed).
- Analyze and optimize imaging workflows across radiology departments.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, data security, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, configuration logs, and audit reports.
- Hands‑on experience with Sectra PACS administration and Power Scribe (Nuance).
- Strong working knowledge of Power Scribe reporting workflows.
- Proficiency in DICOM standards, HL7 interfaces, image routing, modality worklists, and viewer applications.
- Good understanding of radiology workflows and imaging modalities.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with cross‑functional teams including radiology, IT, vendors, and clinicians.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with additional PACS/RIS systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset and customer‑oriented approach.
