Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of Computer / Network Technician within the Tactical Online Services Unit, University of Guyana.
The Computer/Network Technician is responsible for maintaining the security, continuity and support of the University's core computing environment. Key duties include hands‑on deployment, installation and upgrading of all IT infrastructure (educational support technologies, computer hardware and networks); providing prompt troubleshooting and repair for technical issues; offering technical assistance and basic training to users; and supporting long‑term stability through effective maintenance, network uptime and logging of all support activities.
Qualification, Knowledge and Experience
Five (5) CSEC Subjects (inclusive of Mathematics and English – Grades I‑III) PLUS A+ and Network+ Certifications, along with five years of post‑certification experience.

Salary Scale
UB8: $204,978 – $290,266. Placement on Salary Scale would be dependent on level of qualification and relevant experience.
