Belonging to the Military, Intelligence, and Operations Support (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Chronos has a culture rooted in integrity, respect, and exceptional performance.
Chronos is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, and provides mission-critical services in Advanced Analytics & AI, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Intelligence. The Global Command and Control System - Joint Subject Matter Expert (GCCS-J SME) supports JOPES and Trans Viz by providing surge support for functional testing, operations, and integration with related systems, ensuring rapid augmentation capability. Responsibilities
* Provide specialized knowledge and expertise in JOPES and Trans Viz to define standards and improve procedures.
* Recommend procedural improvements and develop performance objectives for projects and programs.
* Validate requirements and deliverables to ensure accuracy, usability, and alignment with operational needs.
* Serve as a liaison between business units and project teams, representing business requirements and resolving issues within the area of expertise.
* Support the definition of processes, policies, and business rules, and communicate their application context.
* Design and review test cases and scenarios; validate executed test results and provide feedback.
* Contribute to user documentation and training materials to ensure clarity and accuracy.
* Guide team members to maintain content accuracy and resolve deliverable-related issues.
* Obtain or provide approval for changes to rules, processes, and policies
* Supports functional testing, operations, and integration with related systems, ensuring rapid augmentation capability.
* Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field preferred. Additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree
* 5+ years of experience in GCCS-J functional support, testing, and operational integration experience.
* Must have GCCS-J familiarization training.
* Must have Security + CE certification.
* Must have active secret clearance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Deep understanding of JOPES (Joint Operation Planning and Execution System) and Trans Viz functionality and processes
* Familiarity with IT systems integration, testing methodologies, and validation processes.
* Understanding business rules, policies, and operational contexts for military logistics and planning.
* Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation and system requirements.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify inconsistencies and recommend improvements.
* Ability to design and review test cases and scenarios for system validation.
* Excellent communication skills for liaising between business units and technical teams.
* Technical writing skills for creating user documentation and training materials.
* Competence in project coordination and guiding team members on deliverable accuracy.
* Ability to comprehend and apply specialized terminology and concepts in JOPES and Trans Viz.
* Ability to represent business needs effectively to project teams.
* Skill in resolving issues related to processes, rules, and deliverables within the area of expertise.
* Results-driven with a positive attitude and a high degree of initiative and responsiveness.
* Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and attend to details while staying focused on key priorities and management.
* Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Ability to travel up to 10%.
* Good work ethic and active desire to learn.
* Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work both independently and within a team.
