Job PurposeTo handle the daily administrative and HR duties of the RJW facility. Assist HR Manager with recruitment, record maintenance and payroll processing, and provide clerical support to all employees.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Works closely with HR Manager to accomplish department goals.
- Performs receptionist duties including answering calls, greeting visitors, and keeping a safe and clean area.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and guest customer service skills.
- Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
- Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
- Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
- Schedule orientations and update records of new staff.
- Process payroll and resolve any payroll errors.
- Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
- Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Maintains professionalism and confidentiality regarding company records, employee files, and any related data.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions. Other tasks as assigned by manager.
- 2 years of experience as an HR assistant (essential).
- ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
- Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations.
- Effective HR administration and people management skills.
- Exposure to payroll practices.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) is required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
