Full-Time and Part-Time positions available, 10:00am-6:30pm, includes every other weekend.
GENERALSUMMARY:
The Resident Support works as part of a team in an assigned household sharing in the completion of all tasks related to resident/guest care and household operation, including meal service, and laundry. Respects the person-centered care environment by offering choices to residents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assists in serving meals, and cleaning the household kitchen(s).
- Works collaboratively with team members to maintain the functioning of the household—according to resident preferences.
- Responsible for washing dishes and trash removal after every meal.
- Check the laundry room for washed clothes to put away and check with staff on the floor for any laundry that still needs to be washed.
- Provides opportunities for all residents to participate in the daily life and decision-making of the household in meaningful ways.
- Respect the resident’s suite and household as home and assist the residents in feeling in charge of everything that happens within.
- Maintains confidentiality and privacy of resident information and care.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Some experience working in a skilled nursing environment is preferred.
- Completion of food service sanitation course required within first thirty (30) days of hire.
- Ability to use good reasoning and judgment and react calmly in emergencies.
- Ability to function independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to keep information confidential.
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, and staff. Requires a courteous, positive, friendly, and helpful attitude.
- Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
