Overview
To oversee the operation of the Biltmore Beach and Cabana dining facilities, parking lots, rest room/locker room, beach, patio, and bar. This position is to provide supervision to servers, bartenders, and cooks. Create a safe and clean environment for members, guests, and staff. The Beach F&B Director is also responsible for maintaining stock levels for both the bar and dry storage.
This position is also in charge of running and overseeing beach parties. Upholds and adheres to all policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook.

Basset, Serve Safe, AED/CPR

Passion for Hospitality, even tempered, trouble shooter, problem solving skills, attention to detail, professional work ethic, honesty and integrity.
- Supervision of Beach Managers & Captains, servers, bartenders, and lifeguards, to support beach operations.
- Closing the beach cabana and bar; including when there is inclement weather with the Clubhouse Manager and Club Manager.
- Consulting with the Clubhouse Manager and Club Manager on any safety concerns, problems or questions.
- Be familiar and follow Club's policies and procedures that are relevant to your specific position or as a general employee of the Club, as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Training Manuals, and Written Standards of Performance.
- Maintain all food and beverage areas in a clean, organized and safe manner.
- Adhere to all OSHA and State and Local Health Department standards.
- Be informed and aware of all legislation regarding the service of liquor.
- Communicate regularly and efficiently with the Management Team.
- As an employee, you are a representative of Biltmore Country Club, and must greet the members and guests politely and properly, in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Assist in training new staff on each position (server, bartender).
- Develops and maintains standards for each department and implements standards including training programs to continually maintain and enhance service.
- Ensure the opening and closing duties have been performed; refer to checklists.
- Check condition of facilities after the openers have arrived; before the members and guests arrive.
- Check stock levels for dry storage and bar; fill out requisition sheet request a pull from a manager.
- Repair, maintain, and clean equipment. Ice cream machine, Island Oasis Machine, Blizzard machine etc.
- Periodically check conditions of restrooms, beach, bar, dining areas, and parking lots.
- Perform periodic walk down of beaches and facilities for cleanliness, bar, dining areas, etc.
- Always checking garbage levels and when necessary go on a garbage run.
- Monitor all areas for alcohol consumption.
- Keep written record of rescues, assists and accidents.
- Assist in emergencies (lost children, medical, etc.).
- Make sure servers and bartenders are always engaging members and guests.
- Oversee the servers are following their assigned duties for the day (floater, runner, counter), as well as side work and cleaning tasks.
- Close the building and assure the building and facilities are secured for the night.
- Conducts end of year employee evaluations.
- Any other job or duty assigned by the Clubhouse Manager or Club Manager.
