Description

Join Our Pediatrics as an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or APRN) – A Unique Opportunity to Make a Lasting Impact in Pediatric Care

As an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or APRN) at our Pediatrics Rural Health Clinic, you ll play an essential role in providing high-quality care to rural residents. You’ll collaborate with a full-time physician in managing patient care across a variety of clinical settings, from in-office consultations to diagnostic and treatment interventions. This is a hands-on position that involves conducting comprehensive and focused patient assessments, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, and offering personalized care plans.

In addition to providing medical care, you’ll order and interpret lab and radiographic studies, educate patients on managing their health, perform necessary procedures, provide follow-up care post-discharge, conduct well-child visits, handle medication management, and coordinate referrals to ensure patients receive the best care possible. You ll be a vital part of a close-knit team, impacting lives by providing healthcare that rural communities often find hard to access.

Schedule
:
Monday – Friday; 80 hours/pay period.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care in collaboration with a full-time physician across in-office and clinical settings
  • Conduct comprehensive and focused patient assessments; diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries
  • Order and interpret lab and radiographic studies
  • Educate patients on health management and provide follow-up care
  • Perform necessary procedures and coordinate referrals
  • Conduct well-child visits and manage medications
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited university
  • Current and active licensure as a Certified Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
  • Previous clinical experience is preferred
  • Current CPR, PALS, and ACLS certifications are preferred
  • Ability to see patients with same-day office visit needs
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, lifting, stooping, bending, and pushing
