Speech Pathologist
Location: Red Bud
The IL Speech Pathologist is responsible for providing service to outpatient, inpatient, swing bed and home health patients who have speech and language problems. The therapy is provided under the direction of the attending physician by the speech therapist with participation by the family, nurse and other responsible persons if necessary. Speech therapists may supervise activities of home health aides if the speech therapist is the only skilled discipline involved
ExperienceOne (1) year of clinical experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred;
Must be knowledgeable of hospital and home health policies and procedures;
Excellent communication, organizational and teaching skills required
Master's Degree in Communication Disorders & Sciences required
Licenses/CertificatesA current certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
Current state of Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license
Current BLS certification
