Behavioral Health Outpatient Mental Health Programming – helps individuals build life skills and well-being through behavioral health counseling, psychiatric care, and other care coordination and support services.
Hours of Work:
Full-time, 40 hours/week. After-hours on-call rotation required.

- Intervenes and evaluates consumers and establishes diagnoses. Develops treatment plans collaboratively with consumers by defining goals, specific outcomes, and time frames for treatment.
- Intervenes therapeutically to change attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors of consumers to improve individual and family-level functioning.
- Provides crisis intervention to stabilize consumers’ conditions by utilizing short-term crisis intervention techniques and/or referral to other support services.
- Maintains networking and referral contacts with other human service providers both internally and externally.
- Completes required monthly direct service hours to consumers as defined on the Direct Service Requirement sheet.
- Carries a caseload as assigned by the supervisor. Facilitates comprehensive consumer care by providing case management services.
- Effectively teaches life-management skills to consumers. Provides and arranges transportation services to consumers, assisting with the transfer of skills to their natural environment.
- Demonstrates active involvement in supervision and clinical staffings.
- Screens, assesses, and provides interventions for consumers exhibiting symptoms of trauma.
- Provides a minimum of eight (8) hours per week of on-site services at the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) to be available for walk-in and scheduled therapy appointments.
- Participates in forensic interviews in the role of mental health liaison, providing clinical insight during and following the interview process.
- Provides resources, psychoeducation, and safety planning to clients and families following forensic interviews.
- Attends and actively participates in monthly Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings (MDTM) for each assigned county.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Master’s Degree in Human Services. Qualifies as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).
- License eligible (LCSW/LCPC); TF-CBT and/or EMDR trained within 18 months.
- Knowledge of behavioral and human development theories and practices; ability to understand mental health and substance use diagnoses, treatment planning processes, and evidence-based curriculums; knowledge of local health and human services resources; knowledge of basic crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques; excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent computer skills; ability to work with diverse populations.
- Travels to off-site/community-based locations for direct service delivery; participates in after-hours crisis response rotation; ability to schedule evening appointments; maintains and provides proof of a valid driver’s license; maintains and provides proof of personal vehicle liability insurance; at least 21 years of age.
