Accounts Receivable Specialist - Charge Entry

• Review medical records for completion of documentation per CPT guidelines
• Utilize internal electronic information systems and third-party resources to perform job functions
• Review and assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes per FQHC and national coding guidelines
• Prepare claims for billing in accordance with payer and FQHC requirements
• Communicate with staff and patients to ensure the accuracy of documentation and charges

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of medical billing procedures and processes
• Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding
• Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment
• Must be well organized and detail-oriented

• Experience in medical billing or coding within a healthcare environment
• Familiarity with business office procedures
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and colleagues
• Proficiency in basic computer functions such as MS Word, Excel, and email
