Laundry Aide

The primary purpose of your job is to perform laundry functions. You will be responsible to pass out laundry to the Residents after it arrives from the laundry service and hang it up for those that are unable or request assistance. Part of your duties are to ensure the staff has the linens they need for daily job assignments and to stock the linen closets as needed.

• Unloading laundry from bins
• Delivering laundry to residents
• Pushing and pulling of laundry carts
• Stocking linen rooms
• Other duties as assigned

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be able to work independently and make independent decisions
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
