General SummaryMedical Laboratory Technicians perform laboratory test procedures. Test procedures are performed with acceptable accuracy and precision within an acceptable time frame. Test procedures are performed following established departmental policies and procedures.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities- Provides laboratory services, including specimen collection, appropriate for the age of the patient, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
- Performs laboratory test procedures in all laboratory departments including hematology, coagulation, chemistry, microbiology, serology, urinalysis, and blood bank.
- Performs quality control procedures and maintains adequate quality control records.
- Performs instrument preventive maintenance procedures and instrument performance checks as required by the instrument manufacturer and laboratory policy.
- Assists Director of Laboratory Services with performance improvement studies and special projects when requested.
