As an ED Paramedic at Mercy One, you will provide safe, effective, ethical and culturally competent patient care for Emergency Department patients of all age groups requiring stabilization and/or resuscitation. You will collaborate in the assessment of patients and/or situations in a timely, consistent and systematic manner, implementing care under direction of the ED provider to achieve identified outcomes for each patient according to policy and procedure.

You will perform care and procedures according to protocols and at the level of licensure in accordance with guidelines and other delegated tasks approved to perform, functioning within the scope of practice set by the Iowa Department of Public Health, Bureau of EMS.

General Requirements

• Licensure/Registration:
  Licensed Paramedic in Illinois;
  Licensed Paramedic in Iowa within one year.
• Training Preferred:
  Associate’s degree; PALS
• Special Training:
  Basic Life Support, ACLS
• More than 2 years’ experience required.

Education

• 2‑year college program or equivalent experience
• Field Of Study:
  Emergency Medical Services

Pay Range
: $20.53 - $30.80 per hour. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
