Description
STEPS for Kids is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team providing comprehensive pediatric therapy services that includes a foundation in mental health and well-being for the children and families we serve. Varied caseload with children ranging from infancy through adolescence with neurodevelopmental and behavioral health disorders. Position requires collaboration with OTs, SLPs, and PTs in our neurodiversity affirming and empowering practice with primary focus on direct clinical work with children, parents and families.
Opportunity to grow this position to include intake/case management, program development, and community networking. Experience working with a neurodiverse population is preferred, as well as prior experience with play-based therapy and integrating caregivers in the therapeutic process. Currently a part-time position, there is opportunity for growth into a full-time position for the right candidate who is highly motivated to support our mission.

Owned and operated by an Occupational Therapist with 35 years of experience, our team of dedicated and experienced pediatric therapists brings great passion to their practice, emphasizing the strengths of each child and family in order to support areas of need.

Requirements
- Current LCSW licensed in Illinois in good standing
- Compassionate and dedicated to helping children and their families
- Commitment to interdisciplinary approach, team collaboration
- Ability to work with a wide range of communication and cognitive levels
- Experience working with a neurodiverse pediatric population
- Experience with DIR/Floortime preferred but not required
- Competency in pediatric evaluations, play based therapy, CBT and other therapeutic interventions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adaptable to meet all audiences
