The Stylist engages with guests, consulting on their hair care needs and recommending products and services. The Stylist delivers quality professional services with an emphasis on the guest’s total look and supports the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager in performance, people, and process.

• Perform hair services including hair design, haircuts, color, texture, hair treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Meet or exceed sales goal of $800 average weekly sales and productivity goals, contributing to the store’s retail and service sales outcomes.
• Demonstrate business acumen and identify growth opportunities.
• Perform product demonstrations to drive sales and improve the guest experience.
• Support in‑store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services during work time.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Develop guest relationships and make appropriate retail and service recommendations.
• Demonstrate high standards of customer service and salon image.
• Serve all guests, including walk‑in guests, efficiently.
• Partner with skin therapists and the retail team for a total‑store experience.
• Build professional peer and brand partner relationships.
• Share benefits of the loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for professional development.>

• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Follow established service protocols for a consistent guest experience.
• Use booking and clientele systems to schedule guests.
• Communicate supply needs to the EM.
• Maintain store operational standards.
• Adhere to the Ulta Beauty dress code and loss‑prevention practices.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• Cosmetology license.

• Previous relevant salon experience is preferred.

• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for cutting, coloring, styling, etc.
• Proficiency with equipment and chemicals required.
• Ability to recommend and sell hair care and makeup products.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

• Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Frequent mobility during shift.
• Continuous lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, crouching.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.
