Location: Scott Air Force Base
Duties The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer is directly responsible to the Unit Commander to manage the Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP) for the wing/group. Serves as the unit point of contact for the coordination and execution of the Unit Effectiveness Inspection (UEI). Responsible for integrating supporting inspection/events into unit activities. Supervisory duties are performed less than 25percent of the work year.
Additionally, trains Reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. Duty 1:
Manages the Unit Effectiveness Inspection Program. Oversees, plans and executes Unit Effectiveness Inspection program. Duty 2:
Plans, schedules, and executes inspections and exercises. Develops, plans, executes, and controls inspections and exercises to accurately assess unit effectiveness and readiness. Duty 3:
Leads/trains/manages Wing Inspection Team (WIT). Serves as WIT Chief. Duty 4:
Attends meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to program planning, advanced technologies and support system concepts. Duty 5:
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities less than 25% of the time (for positions with less than 5 full-time subordinates). Requirements Conditions of employment

SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes performing work with knowledge of inspection and exercise planning, inspection criteria, deployment and employment processes and a mastery of, and skill in applying laws and regulation to inspection and compliance work. Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of critical unit plans and programs such as mission and flight operations, tactical training, deployment, mobilization, budgeting, exercise planning.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the GS-11 or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the Federal Civil Service to be considered for referral. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE,
