Senior Director Finance

Hybrid | Brighton, IL (2 days/week in office)

We’re seeking a Senior Director of Finance to join our executive leadership team and oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and finance team leadership.

Agriculture and/or farming financial experience is required for this role. Candidates must have direct experience working within agricultural, farming, or agribusiness environments and understand the unique financial dynamics of seasonal and cyclical revenue models.

This position blends strategic financial leadership with hands‑on accounting oversight and requires someone comfortable operating in complex, seasonally driven cash flow environments.

• Financial strategy, long‑term planning, and forecasting
• Full accounting oversight and GAAP‑compliant reporting
• Seasonal cash flow management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships
• Risk management, internal controls, and financial compliance
• Leading and mentoring a high‑performing finance team
• Partnering closely with executive leadership and the board

• 7–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience
• Minimum 3 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role
• Direct financial leadership experience within agriculture, farming, or agribusiness
• Demonstrated success managing seasonal or cyclical cash flow models
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA or CPA strongly preferred)
