SEC Reporting Manager
$130,000 to $160,000

Overview:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced SEC Reporting Manager to lead our external financial reporting function. This role is responsible for preparing and filing all SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.), ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, public company experience, and a deep understanding of SEC requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the preparation, review, and filing of all SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, S-1, and other filings

  • Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate filings

  • Research and implement new accounting standards and SEC regulations, and prepare technical accounting memos

  • Oversee XBRL tagging and compliance with EDGAR filing requirements

  • Maintain and improve the company’s internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance)

  • Support investor relations with earnings releases, financial press releases, and presentations

  • Assist with quarterly earnings calls, analyst materials, and disclosure checklists

  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure alignment across functions

  • Lead special projects such as M&A reporting, IPO readiness, or new accounting policy adoption

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required)

  • 5–7+ years of relevant experience, including Big 4 public accounting and/or public company financial reporting

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and SOX compliance

  • Strong technical accounting and research skills

  • Experience with financial reporting software (e.g., Workiva, Oracle, Net Suite, Black Line) and XBRL

  • Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
