Reporting to the Manager in the Title IV Audit team, the Staff Accountant will work closely with engagement leaders and staff to ensure the efficient & timely completion of financial statement audits for our higher‑education clients. You will provide superior service to external clients and internal stakeholders.

• Perform financial statement audits under US GAAP and Title IV compliance, informing engagement leaders of engagement status.
• Conduct audit tests assessing compliance with plan documents and regulatory requirements.
• Draft financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Develop self and others through on‑the‑job coaching and engagement experiences.
• Maintain productive working relationships with clients to enhance satisfaction.
• Build credibility by displaying insight, business acumen, technical competence and engaging in relevant discussions with clients and teams.
• Provide strategic and tactical accounting advice and recommendations to firm clientele.
• Review staff work product and performance.
• Deliver exceptional client support virtually and onsite as needed.

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of financial statement audit experience, preferably in Title IV audits.
• Strong technical accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP.
• Experience with Title IV audits desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast‑paced, results‑based team environment.
• Strong leadership, recruiting, training and mentoring skills; excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam highly desirable.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit preparation software.
• Comfort with a virtual work environment.

In compliance with state pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $78,000. Final offers may vary based on experience and location.
