Overview

Growing Manufacturing company near O'hare airport is hiring a Controller to oversee several plants. Ideal candidate has worked for a company with $120M in revenue, multi-site leadership. Ideal candidate has managed a team of 5+ employees. This is a hybrid position going into the office 4 days a week.

• Lead all corporate accounting and financial close activities across multiple manufacturing sites
  , ensuring accurate, timely reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Build and enforce scalable internal controls, policies, and procedures suitable for a private -equity-backed environment, supporting audit readiness and future growth initiatives.
• Manage and develop a distributed accounting team overseeing general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and site-level financial operations.
• Partner with operations leadership to deliver manufacturing-specific financial insights, including labor efficiency, overhead absorption, inventory valuation, and production variance analysis.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external audits, lenders, and PE stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements across all locations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting across sites, providing clear visibility into EBITDA drivers, margin trends, and working capital.
• Act as a strategic finance partner to executive leadership on capital investments, integrations, system enhancements (ERP), and cash-flow optimization in a multi-facility environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 7+ years of related experience
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
