Financial and Management Consultant

Overview

Ash & Harris Executive Search is seeking a Financial and Management Consultant with a robust background in business administration or financial operations—particularly within the medical or dental sectors
. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in small business financial management, HR operations, and income tax preparation
. The consultant will play a key role in helping clients streamline financial workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance overall fiscal strategy.

Location: Barrington, IL

Employment Type: Full-Time

• Prepare financial statements by analyzing client financial records and reconciling accounts.
• Manage payroll processing, including monthly/quarterly payroll tax returns and year-end forms (W-2s).
• Assist in preparing individual tax returns under CPA supervision.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide expert consultation on assigned engagements.
• Provide software support and maintain accounting tools for client operations.
• Participate in special financial or management projects as assigned.

• Associate’s Degree minimum (Accounting major preferred); equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in small business administration

  , or financial operations
  .
• At least 2 years of experience preparing personal income tax returns in a public accounting environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  .
• Experience with Thompson Reuters software (Accounting CS, Ultra Tax, Practice CS) is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaborative environments.

Salary: $125,000 – $150,000 per year
