Job Description
As a Reliability Engineer II here at Solstice, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the overall reliability and performance of our products. Supporting a dynamic reliability engineering team, you will develop and implement comprehensive reliability strategies, plans, and processes.
In this role, you will impact the reliability and performance of our products by analyzing product failure data, implementing corrective actions, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to resolve reliability issues. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will conduct reliability testing and provide technical guidance to support the team and stakeholders. Your strategic technical capabilities will shape and implement robust reliability engineering processes, driving a culture of continuous improvement.

You will report directly to our Reliability Supervisor, and you’ll work out of Metropolis, IL.
Key Responsibilities- Define, track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Lifecycle Cost
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive reliability improvements and incorporate reliability in all phases of the equipment lifecycle
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to address underlying causes of equipment failures
- Ensure all reliability activities comply with environmental, safety and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of reliability and safety excellence
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement reliability engineering strategies, plans, and processes
- Analyze product failure data to identify root causes and trends, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability
- Conduct reliability testing and analysis to validate and verify product performance under various conditions
- Provide technical guidance and support to ensure the continuous improvement of product reliability
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to product reliability
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering or 10 years’ experience in Reliability and/or Mechanical Integrity.
- 5 years of experience in reliability engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Fixed Equipment. Knowledge of NDE techniques and ASME/API codes
- Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) Facilities
- Familiarity or certification in national standards such as API 510, 570, 580, 653
- Professional Reliability Certification – CRE, CMRP
- Excellent project management skills to oversee complex reliability engineering initiatives
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development, staying at the forefront of industry advancements
- Ability to work in a collaborative and cross‑functional environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation

CompensationThe annual base salary range for this position is $85,000k - $110,000k. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
