Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Design Engineer 3. The work will be done onsite full-time in Mossville, IL. This is a long-term 24-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $44.20/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job SummaryCullerton Group is seeking a Design Engineer to support engineering process tools, training development, and system documentation initiatives. This role focuses on creating, organizing, and deploying engineering training materials while supporting software and systems used across multiple engineering groups. The engineer will collaborate with product managers, technical teams, and training resources to ensure engineering processes, tools, and features are clearly documented and communicated.
This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who excels in written communication, organization, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Create, organize, and deploy engineering training materials across multiple platforms
- Identify new training needs and determine appropriate delivery formats (virtual, in-person, documentation, courses)
- Coordinate with training resource teams to develop and publish content
- Review, approve, and communicate newly released training materials
- Train interns and early‑career engineers on engineering processes and tools
- Work with product managers and technical teams to document new features, processes, and use cases
- Provide updates during weekly stand‑ups and monthly meetings
- Serve as backup support for customer requirements and engineering use cases
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or Associate’s degree with 7+ years of experience)
- 5–10 years of engineering or technical experience (internships accepted)
- Strong written communication and documentation skills
- Ability to organize complex technical information into clear training materials
- Experience working across the full software or product development lifecycle
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with large groups
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Experience in training development, technical documentation, or enablement roles
- Familiarity with engineering data management or product lifecycle tools
- Experience creating structured learning content or curriculum
- Comfort with public speaking or presenting to diverse audiences
