Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Develop engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for municipal roadway, intersection, and local transportation projects
- Professional Engineer (PE), Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT), passed FE exam, or ability to obtain licensure within one year – Lead and support projects from planning and design through permitting and construction phase services
- Minimum 2 years of transportation engineering experience – Design roadways, intersections, private entrances, bike and pedestrian facilities, and pavement maintenance programs
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D – Perform design and analysis tasks for transportation infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of transportation codes and regulatory standards – Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills – Conduct site visits, evaluate existing and as‑built conditions, and prepare technical reports and cost estimates
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills – Participate in public meetings and coordinate with municipalities and stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fully in‑office environment (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM with 30‑minute flex) – Contribute to dynamic project teams that form and adjust based on project needs
Salary
: $100,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
