Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Network Engineer 3 in Mossville, IL. The role will be done onsite. This is a long-term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $43/hr W2 + full benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, 401K and holiday pay.
Our customer is the largest manufacturer of construction equipment in the world.
Job DescriptionThe main function of a network engineer is to determine user requirements and design specifications for computer networks. A typical network engineer is responsible for planning and implementing network upgrades.
Education & Experience Required- Minimum 5 years of experience required
- High School Diploma or GED required (Master’s accepted)
- Internships are not counted as experience
- Relevant backgrounds:
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
(Required)
- 5-7 years of route/switch core network experience
- Should have a good understanding of Wireshark and packet capture analysis
- Should understand Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum
- Configuration and troubleshooting of outdoor wireless experience desired (deeper experience than cellular drive testing)
- Linux experience is nice to have
- Mechanical capability is desired (installing outdoor access points on solar trailers, working with tools, etc.)
- Experience with autonomous or remote-control system is a plus
