Job Description:
Engineering Manager
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead efforts in developing new applications and supporting product development. The role involves conducting industry research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing engineering initiatives to ensure progress against project schedules and budgets.
Responsibilities- Conduct industry research on material and application trends and serve as the subject matter expert.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, and other engineers.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Manage engineering initiatives based on strategic improvement priorities.
- Provide technical oversight and coordination of project engineering work.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, making necessary adjustments to ensure progress.
- Allocate resources as required to accomplish goals.
- Evaluate current projects and provide input to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Negotiate and utilize third-party engineering suppliers.
- Implement approved engineering budgets and monitor expenses to ensure they fall within budget.
- Perform administrative functions such as approving proposals and expenditures, enforcing policies, and hiring engineers.
- Work closely with operations and customers to provide input and guidance on technical issues.
- Negotiate and finalize engineering requirements.
- Review and approve proposed engineering designs and subsequent product and process enhancements or changes.
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
Master’s Degree preferred. - 6+ years of experience in engineering management; R&D experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in new product development.
- Proficiency in mechanical engineering and project management.
This is a Permanent position based out of Oak Brook, IL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/yr. Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, AD&D, and Life Insurance;
