Responsibilities

• The primary responsibilities of this position are to develop cost models to support IPSD’s cost reduction efforts.
• This position will work with Engineering and Global Purchasing to calculate part number price and compare to purchase order price.

• Contribute and enable new products or processes
• Develop and manage the project to the plan
• Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas
• Evaluate new products and/or processes
• Keep up to date on new technologies or develop new technologies

Required Qualifications

• Four year Engineering/Computer Science degree or with equivalent experience
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively
• Excel, Power point

Preferred Qualifications

• Database (SQL, Access) and programming skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes

Typical Day

• Work with team members from several teams such as engineering, purchasing and manufacturing to develop cost models.
• Typical day would be working on the computer to run the cost models and have 1 or two meetings to discuss with the requester of the cost model.
• Work with manufacturing individuals and purchasing to gather information.

Technical

Skills:

Excel, Powerpoint required; SQL, ACCESS and Programming skills highly desired.

Soft Skills: Team player who works with diverse teams to gather and present information.
