Resident Engineer

Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) is seeking an organized, detailed oriented, highly motivated, team focused individual to work on its public infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing construction oversight and management on various infrastructure including transportation, water, wastewater, and stormwater related projects.
• Oversees field staff and contractors on the project site and is responsible to ensure quality construction in accordance with plans and specifications.
• Manage activities such as layout, inspection, documentation and pay estimates as well as project closeout/resolve material deficiencies.
• Providing technical advice when warranted to the design and construction of the projects.
• Communicating and coordinating effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred, however not required
• PE license or EIT is preferred, however not required
• Experience and certification may be substituted for the licensure
• Job related certifications (i.e., IDOT and CMMS) are preferred, however not required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A valid driver’s license
