Job Summary
Job Summary : The Engineer 1 role supports the engineering planning and construction of power-related systems. This entry-level position applies engineering processes design criteria and software tools to develop design options prepare estimates and assist in delivering construction specifications. The role also provides guidance oversight and quality reviews for approved contractors as they produce design solutions cost estimates and construction packages.

Responsibilities- Apply engineering processes design criteria and software applications to design and construct power-related systems.
- Assist in preparing estimates developing design alternatives and creating construction specifications.
- Provide guidance oversight and quality assurance reviews for contractors involved in design and construction activities.
- Promote a safe work environment by prioritizing safety in all tasks.
- Understand planning design operation construction and maintenance processes across the organization.
- Develop a working knowledge of internal departmental functions related to design construction and maintenance.
- Utilize software applications necessary for engineering design and project delivery.
- Understand and adhere to industry standards and design standards.
- Support the development of design standards and criteria for the system.
- Assist construction and maintenance teams with day-to-day operational needs.
- Estimate material requirements for projects.
- Prepare and transmit construction packages and provide ongoing support as needed.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 0 5 years of related engineering experience.
- Introductory engineering knowledge and basic discipline-specific software skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with limited discretion under supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans (intermediate to advanced).
- Proficiency with MS Office (intermediate level).
- Strong work ethic positive attitude and ability to build effective working relationships with plant staff engineering teams and vendors.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Degree in Civil Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Prior internship or co-op experience in an engineering environment.
- Basic proficiency with CAD / GIS tools.
- Experience with hydraulic analysis.
- Project management exposure or experience.
