Our client, a leader in warehouse automation, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their SW Chicago team. With the warehouse automation industry experiencing explosive growth, you’ll be at the forefront of a rapidly evolving field, building solutions that directly impact the future of supply chain technology. You will play a critical role in designing and delivering cutting‑edge conveyor and automation solutions that drive high‑speed, high‑efficiency warehouses.
The ideal candidate is resourceful and hands‑on with a deep understanding of high‑throughput operations and a passion for creating solutions that improve efficiency and scalability. Note:
This position requires onsite attendance during the first 30 days of training before transitioning to a permanent hybrid/remote model.
- Create innovative mechanical solutions that optimize warehouse operations
- Develop detailed drawings and documentation to bring designs from concept to reality
- Lead discovery sessions and present solutions that drive business results
- Oversee vendors, RFPs, and equipment installation to ensure successful execution
- Collaborate with project teams during commissioning to deliver seamless system integration
- Provide technical support for sales and service teams
- Champion quality and continuous improvement across all projects [HYBRID] Mechanical Design
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 3+ years of mechanical design experience required
- Experience designing mechanical conveyor solutions required
- Must be willing to work onsite three days per week
